Day 8 of Life - UPDATE

Ma has escaped from her prison! She has to stop and buy a blood pressure cuff, so that she can monitor her blood pressure at home.

The parents will come back later this evening to visit with the little guy.

The docs are going to start weaning Sha off of the high frequency ventilator to the conventional ventilator. This means that Ma and Pa might be able to hold him in a few days. He has received his last dose of Indomethacin and it appears to be closing the PDA. Keep your fingers crossed!

Ma, I'm so glad that you are home now! I've been worried sick. Keep taking care of yourself, and don't be afraid to ask for help, even thought that is one of the toughest things for you to do. If you need anything, and I mean anything, do not hesitate to call me. I'm thinking about you guys and I can't wait to see you. All my love,
    Kris

    Hey Nan!
I'm so glad you're finally home with Jer and Hyde, right where you should be so you can build your strength to take care of that amazing little wonderSha. A Cow let me know what was happening and then I got to keep updated by the blog.......bless her heart, I've never cried this much at my desk before. I can't wait to see all of you and please know that my prayers and my thoughts are with you guys. You've been blessed with this battle only because you have the strength and heart of a true mamabear and you will pass that all on to little Shabear. Take care, talk to you soon,
