Day 52 of Life - August 9th
The babe now weighs 1420 g (3.13 lbs), which is exactly double his birth weight. Go, Piggy, go!!! The staff was worried again today that Sha would have to come off the Aladdin, but they wrapped him up like a burrito and he started to behave. Little Turkey!
When I stopped into the NICU, Ma was kangarooing the little one and I've never seen anything so adorable. He was nestled against her chest and kept reaching towards her necklace. He looked very relaxed and content.
Pa also held him for a couple of hours today. While being held in Pa's arms, little Sha opened his mouth as wide as Pa has ever seen and he had to regretfullly inform the poor kid that he didn't have any milk!!! So it was a good day, especially for family bonding.

This journey sure is a remarkable story. Sha has no idea how many people are rooting for him to get well. There are people out there that don't even know him and are rooting for him to get well so that he can come home.
Sha you are so special to so many people. Most of us havn't met you yet but because of this blog I know for myself that I already feel like I kind of know you. I look forward to reading this every day to see your progress. Sha you are a real fighter - keep up the good work, eat well and come home soon. We are ready to spoil you every chance we get.

Hey baby...such a good little man..gaining all that weight...you sure did look good yesterday with your mommy and she looked good with you!! That's how it should be. Keep up the good work...we love you!
