Day 30 of Life - July 18th

Happy 1 month birthday, Little One! Sha decided to celebrate his 1 month birthday by going up to 9 cc of breastmilk every 2 hours! Such a good boy. So, he's totally off his TPN (liquid nutrition that he's been receiving since birth) and they are planning on giving him his last dose of morphine tomorrow...which means that he could have his long line out tomorrow! This kid is amazing!!!

Otherwise, not too much is new. Ma got to hold him again tonight and his flow rate is down from 35 yesterday to 28 today. Keep on keeping on, Little Turkey!

Happy 1 month birthday little Sha. You've had a hilly road this past month, but you've managed every bump! Here's hoping the next month & the months to come with be a smooth ride for all 3 of you!

    Don't forget we love you!

Good job little man! You continue to amaze us everyday with your progress! You are living proof that size doesn't matter. Even as tiny as you are, you seem to defeat every obstacle that comes your way. Keep fighting...keep growing stronger! We can't wait to see you out playing and learning all the bad things the neighbour boys will teach you!

Sounds like Sha is doing great! I am a member of parents supporting parents but live about 2 hours away so I don't get down to meetings much. My son was born at 29 weeks and is now 3 years old. I saw that you told everyone about the nicu bracelets and thought I would tell you all about another nicu fundraiser through Lovable Labels. You can order personalized labels at www.nicu.lovablelabels.ca
The nicu will get 20% of sales.
Also wondered how Ma is doing with her fight with HR. When my son was born I was able to take 15 weeks of sick leave, then my 15 weeks of maternity leave, then my 35 weeks of parental leave. I didn't go back to work until my son was almost 1 year corrected. Feel free to email me if you want to know how I did this so I don't bore everyone with the details.
